hey all!

we have had some major blessings...a few people at school have given us donations for the adoptions--we are still no where near close to where we need to be, but it is still a blessing and an encouragement!

brian's aunts own a daycare in Peirson, IA and they were considering closing (as they have both recently adopted themselves) and when they got our support letter, they decided to close for sure and to let us have first pick at all of their stuff for free! now we just have to figure out how we are going to pick it all up...if any of you have a truck that you want to let us borrow next month...let us know!

we also finally got our paper work...now, we just have to figure out where to start...and get the first $7000 which is the down payment plus the money to get our fbi check started...

now...for a not so blessing!!!  i had to get my wisdom teeth pulled yesterday. now, some of you know, but novicaine does not work on me. i wasn't too afraid, though, b/c they were "putting me under" well, it didn't work. i can remember at least 3-4 times having to tell them that the iv sedation wasn't working!!! it was one of the most horrible experiences of my life!!! then they had some complications (which they did not explain) and also had to take out some of my jaw bone....let's just say i don't feel so great today! and i am terrified because they are making me come back next week (i think to check the stiches)

well, that is what is new in our lives...please continue to pray for God to bless and provide for this adoption!

love you all.....

newbaby01 newbaby02 newbaby03 well, here is an update. after much prayer, we have been given the okay from both God and Sue (the missionary that has them) to take 2 little angels from Haiti. now we just have to start the long tedious journey. here's the story, though, amanda...the happy little smiley girl...had already been spoken for. HOWEVER...we get to adopt Carlina, who is four months old and just got her first tooth this last week!

we are also getting another little girl who sue just got today. she is 20 days old and only weighs 1 1/2 pounds. please pray for her!!! pray for sue as well, because she has 4 other babies and is now trying to nurse our newest little one back to health...again, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE pray for her!!!

we get to name this newest little one and i think that we decided on

athalia siviv patterson

now, i know that probably sounds weird to you all...but athalia is a biblical name and means "a gift from God" and siviv means "survive"in creole which is what they speak in haiti. we wanted to give her a strong name that meant something special!

well, that is the news. please continue to pray for us as often as you remember...we will need it!!! and please pray for athalia as often as you remember as well. i will post the pictures we got of her Carlina1 as well as the picture of carlina in case there is any confusion.

 howdy all!
sorry it has been so long. things are busy here, and i am usually too tired to write anything.
things are well.
i like my job. i don't like being gone for work 11 hours a day (a little less than an hour commute each way) but i like the job.
it is so fun now that i have been there long enough that i know the pregnant women fairly well and get to see the babies after they have them.
brian is busy...busy...and busy!!!
he is doing great in school as usual, though!
the other day he went grocery shopping (which i don't like doing) and cleaned the house and got me beautiful flowers...all because he loves me!!!
am i a blessed girl or what???
well, i have something for you to all pray about...we are going to be praying and seeking God's will about maybe adopting a little hatian girl (or 2)
i don't know if God is ready for us to make that step or not, but we have some friends over in Haiti who know 2 little girls who need families and we most likely can't ever have our own kids, so we are praying...
well, that is all for now, we love you all and hope you are all being blessed!

wow!

it has been a long time...

we are in omaha now. it's ok. i will be glad when we can get away from ncc and omaha, but there are some amazing students here...i wouldn't trade knowing them for anything...

brian is working hard...lots and lots of homework!!! we still don't see each other much, but i am just so proud of him for coming back to school and finishing what he started so long ago...he is an AMAZING worship leader and i am blessed to see him get to "perfect" his gifts...

i am working...hard! i got the job at the doctor's office in council bluffs. it is great, but it is a lot of work and can be pretty stressful. it can be so fun, though, to see the pregnant women as the time between their visits get less and less four weeks...two weeks...one week...(i work at an ob/gyn)

we have a wednesday night ministry at auburn. our good friend eli is the youth minister there and asked us to lead worship. i will get to go all this semester, so that is great...they also offered the minister position to a dear old friend of mine, so if he accepts that will be GREAT!!!

well, i just wanted to update for our few friends that read....LORI...i am sorry i have not emailed...we are still alive, though, and we do love you guys...maybe we will try and call sometime soon.

love you all...be blessed!!!
